		Nicky if famous for being close to his family. They're strong through everything and always remain in the heart of Nicky's thoughts and prayers.



		Nicky has an sister, Gillian, who is three years older than him. Nicky always mentions her and her husband, Mark, in his album thank-yous. One of his very first was reminding her of how he and she would watch saturday morning television squeased together on one chair! Gillian works for Ryanair and has been with husband Mark for many years now. They married one year after Nicky and Georgina. Gillian is very proud of her younger brother but recalls when he was less out-going and lively. "...we were in the final of a karaoke competition and he got up to sing...and he was shaking! His legs were shaking, his hands were shaking, his voice was shaking, you couldn't even hear the song properly." Also in the Byrne brood is youngest brother Adam, who is twelve years younger than Nicky. He looked up to his brother a lot and Nicky always mentions Adam as being tallented, more-so than he was at his age. He looks out for Adam and it's clear to see how strong of a bond they have. Awwh, brotherly love! The Byrne parents are Yvonne, who is originally from Coolock, in Dublin, and Nikki, from Cabra, another small town in Dublin. Nikki is a painter and decorater but also in a band called "Nikki and The Studz" who do cabaret and parties. Nicky loves to see his dad perform. Yvonne is a housewife to her family and loves nothing more than gassing with her children about their days. They taught Nicky that he is a special as anyone else, and to always try his best. "Nobody is better than you, and you are better than nobody. Everyone is equal."
